Bison Leisurely Stroll Near Yellowstone

This picture taken just outside the West Entrance of Yellowstone National Park. They are not shy at all as they will stop right in the middle of the road. It is the vehicle driver to make sure they are not hit.

  1. This reminds me of Ireland...where the sheep roam free...also in road...while people wait..

  2. It happened to Dennis and I in northern New Hampshire with the Moose, too. We just sat there as about 4 - 5 of them crossed the road.....VERY leisurely!

  3. Similarly in Newfoundland.....with the moose all over.....one had to be careful.

  4. Not a good idea to run into a bison or moose. In Newfoundland the moose usually win. They actually keep track on billboards along the road.
