This picture taken in response to one of Bros question on Fire damage to the Parks. Notice the trees on the Mountain in the background.
It seems that this fire damage occurred when a prescribed burn got out of control in August/September of 2009 in Big Meadows area of Yosemite NP.
Thank you.....I know they say that fires serve to renew the landscape, but on the scale that we have seen the last several years out there....one can only wonder what it does to the land and wildlife.
