Roots and Branches Sculpture - If VI was IX

This picture was taken from the Experience Music Project (EMP)in Seattle. It is a collage of nearly 700 musical instrument of which 40 are custom made, computer-controlled self- playing guitars. It performs a series of Trimpin's compositions.
The actual building structure of the EMP was influenced by Jimi Hendrix and is shaped like broken pieces of a guitar (his trademark).
