Davis Mountains near Kent, Texas


One can see that it was hazy today but they were beautiful just the same. I think the highest peak rises to over 8000 feet.

    Are you starting to notice long straight stretches of highway yet? I seem to recall some serious straightaways in the southwest....maybe Nevada?

    Only 8000 ft? Better start breathing exercises before you head into the Rockies. I skied at 12,000 ft. and looked up at the peaks. But definitely higher than anything in the East. I think Mt. Washington is 6,000 ft.
